Gain an insight into the Green Alley Award’s 20 circular economy startups

1 February 2022

Is your company looking for solutions to deal with textile waste? Is packaging a concern? Does your business need new sustainable materials for your products – or improved battery recycling?

It is now possible to have a first look at the startups that have applied for this year’s Green Alley Award.

On 18th January, voting opened for the 2022 Green Alley Award and the public has until 15 February to decide which one of the top 20 circular economy startups in Europe will be a Green Alley Award finalist.

From Sweden to Greece, the candidates represent a well-balanced range of European countries and address the most pressing circular economy challenges: The startups offer solutions including plant-based fruit and vegetable coatings, zero-waste delivery services, a second life for EV batteries, and ideas for a circular fashion industry.

The Green Alley Award showcases pioneering circular business ideas and annually awards a prize to one of these startups during a pitch event in Berlin.

Six startups have the chance to present their business idea in the finals and one of these six is chosen by the public. The startup with the most votes will earn a place in the finals, alongside five others that are chosen by an expert committee.
