Productive exchange on EPR between Landbell Group and Indian delegation 

On 23 September, Landbell Group had the great honour to welcome a delegation from India to its headquarters in Mainz. The group consisted of high-level representatives from the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, in particular, from the relevant ministries and municipalities.

The visit lasted a total of two hours, during which the delegation and the team led by Dr. Thomas Fischer, Head of Market Intelligence and Governmental Affairs at Landbell Group, exchanged views on the following topics:

• EPR management in Germany and its connection to municipal solid waste management
• Introduction to Landbell GFS, the Indian producer responsibility organisation jointly operated by Landbell Group and GreenForest Solutions
• EPR management in India (plastics) and its comparison with Germany (also from the perspective of municipalities), and
• Concept to support states and municipalities with the management of EPR in India

It was an inspiring discussion in which the Indian delegation showed great interest in Landbell Group and the situation in Germany and asked many questions.

The delegation’s trip was organised by the German Organisation for International Cooperation (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, GIZ), with whom Landbell Group cooperates on a variety of projects.
