Whether it is the Oscars or the Golden Globe Awards, award ceremonies are always exciting and filled with great anticipation! We want to bring some glamour to the circular economy and celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of international entrepreneurs at the ninth Green Alley Award on 27^th April 2023 – live in Berlin.

The Ceremony

This award for circular economy startups is certainly not like any other event or conference in Berlin: it’s intimate and informal atmosphere is unique and makes networking easy. This is your chance to enjoy direct access to outstanding entrepreneurs, qualified experts, as well as management and C-level executives.

Six startups from Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Estonia, the Netherlands, and Ukraine will present their business idea in a five-minute pitch followed by Q&A from the judges. Only one of them will receive the prize money of €25,000 at the end of the evening! Here is a sneak preview of the finalists:

Circulate (Sweden)

Helping small and medium enterprises become sustainable: a digital sourcing platform and marketplace for sustainable packaging.

S.Lab (Ukraine)

Natural replacement of polystyrene: a biodegradable, waterproof, customisable packaging made of agricultural waste and mycelium.

Simby (Portugal)

WEEE auctions: a marketplace for used electrical and electronic equipment, increasing reuse rates, and extending the product lifecycle.

Takatari (Estonia)

Financing plastic collection: a software platform connecting the informal sector of the Global South with the circular economy.

Veridis (Netherlands)

Enabling high-quality circular plastics: the first scalable material analysis technology for plastic composition at the bulk level.
