Earlier this year, I wrote to the United Nations’ Secretary-General to express Landbell Group’s support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

With my letter, I expressed our commitment to:

  • Supporting the Compact and its principles and to making them part of the strategy, culture and day-to-day operations of our company
  • Engaging in collaborative projects which advance the broader development goals of the United Nations, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals

I am delighted to say that our application was accepted and, on Monday 26th June, Landbell Group made the announcement that we have joined the Compact. Please take a moment to read the press release here.

A key requirement of joining is the annual submission of a Communication on Progress (CoP) which describes our company’s efforts to implement the Ten Principles. Because we support public accountability and transparency, we commit to doing this.

The decision to join the UN Global Compact is a significant milestone for our company and I urge all my colleagues at Landbell Group to embrace its spirit.

Let us also remember that our actions ripple beyond the boundaries of Landbell Group. By demonstrating our commitment to these principles, we inspire our stakeholders to shape a future where businesses are forces for good.
