Last Tuesday 28 November, we started reviewing 339 new circular economy ideas for the Green Alley Award.

On the same day in Lisbon, our colleagues at Novo Verde, were at the other end of the telescope: deciding which of the four finalists would take home the Novo Verde Packaging Enterprise Award.

Novo Verde’s commitment to innovation is exemplified by this R&D prize, which it has awarded to the most innovative packaging solutions since 2018.

As Landbell Group’s sustainability report shows, they are also heavily involved in its own R&D projects, including an advanced mechanical recycling process for PET trays.

A commitment to innovation is something widely shared by the companies at Landbell Group.

From the smart processing of product and packaging data in the UK, through to reuse in Norway, PV panel recycling in Italy and coffee capsule recovery in Spain, our companies are striving for ideas that will help stop climate change.

For now, back to Portugal, and I would like to congratulate four potential game-changers there:

BioReboot

Repete – Shop Sustainably

The Digital Polymers initiative by CENTIMFE – Technological Center for Mouldmaking, Special Tooling and Plastic Industries
