Textile EPR Compliance Program Specialist (m/f/d)

As a Textile EPR Compliance Program Specialist you are accountable for developing, managing and improving selected services offered by European Recycling Platform Nederland B.V. to its customers, under the program manager’s leadership. The position is an excellent opportunity for a waste management professional in a growing team with an international client portfolio. You will work as part of a small team and support the team in operational activities, textile waste management suppliers network development, collaboration with main actors of the textile waste market in the Netherlands, EPR compliance services proposal development and growth.

Your responsibilities

  • Documentation and explanation of textile EPR legislation for current and potential customers
  • Participate in the implementation of local textile circular economy solutions
  • Follow-up and support the program manager for service delivery
  • Engage and keep motivated outsourced end-of-life suppliers’ network and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure continual service delivery improvement
  • Monitoring service performance by analyzing data
  • Producing technical reports and customers’ charters
  • Developing the supply chain of textile waste collectors, sorters, and recyclers
  • Monitor trends and opportunities related to textile waste management
  • Analyze the best practices in textile waste management and EPR and replicate the most relevant
  • Build, maintain, and manage a suppliers database at the country level
  • Function as one of the points of contact for textile waste supply chain operators in the Netherlands
  • Regular tendering, sourcing, and contracting of suppliers
  • Define and develop KPIs, assess supplier performance and contribute towards continuous process improvement
  • Supporting the development of ad-hoc quotations for tailored projects related to textiles EPR compliance
  • Setting up and controlling invoicing flow with the supply chain network

Your qualifications

  • University degree related to waste management and environmental protection or textiles
  • Working experience in the Netherlands within a role related to waste management, preferably textile waste, and/or EPR
  • Waste management legislation and requirements in the Netherlands knowledge (handling, transport, treatment, licensing, etc.)
  • Knowledge of regulatory and market changes to update internal network and tools
  • Proficiency in English (level C as a minimum)
  • Proficiency in Dutch (proved level C2 as a minimum, native speaker preferable)
  • IT Proficiency (Office 365 as a minimum)
  • Operations management experience (desirable)
  • Communication and Relationship Building
  • Cross Cultural Awareness and team collaboration
  • A high customer Orientation (internal and external)
