Inventory to list notifiers’ names
Starting in July 2026, the European Chemicals Agency’s (ECHA) published Classification and Labelling (C&L) Inventory will contain the names of companies that submitted notifications. Companies had until 30 June to submit justified confidentiality requests. Notifier names will be published in the C&L section of ECHA’s new chemicals database, ECHA CHEM.
The change follows the 2024 revision of the Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation. Authorities expect that publishing notifier names will improve transparency and help companies agree on the classification and labelling of the same substance.
eChemPortal
Improved traceability and access for users worldwide
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD) eChemPortal provides free public access to information on the properties of chemicals collected through governmental chemical programmes around the world.
The European Chemicals Agency’s (ECHA) REACH data, published through the ECHA CHEM portal, has now been integrated into the OECD eChemPortal.
Search results in the eChemPortal now link directly to the corresponding source data in ECHA CHEM, improving traceability and access to information for users worldwide.
In addition to ECHA’s data, the portal also brings together chemical information from numerous governmental sources worldwide.
