ERP Portugal and Novo Verde at Primavera Sound 2025

2 September 2025

Primavera Sound emerged as an alternative festival in 2001 in Barcelona, focused on presenting musical trends, with an emphasis on rock and pop.

In 2012, Primavera Sound Porto was created, with an emphasis on the quality of the artists, venue and food.

Motto: ‘Recycling looks so good!’

ERP Portugal and Novo Verde attended another edition of Primavera Sound on 12, 13, 14 and 15 June at Parque da Cidade in Porto. The festival had a total of 110,000 visitors over the four days.

In the Sustainability Square, the organisers turned environmental awareness into a fun experience for festival-goers.

ERP Portugal and Novo Verde were there to offer a series of activities around the concept of ‘Recycling looks so good!’, aimed at demonstrating the timelessness of recycling and its continuing relevance.

Awareness activities

At the ERP Portugal stand, visitors could find live caricatures alluding to the festival and recycling, as well as a wheel of fortune with exclusive giveaways.

At the Novo Verde stand, the team raised awareness of the correct separation of packaging waste with 17 recycling points made available throughout the festival grounds. The stand also offered a space for fun, with a photo booth to capture unforgettable moments, a 360-degree video booth for an immersive experience in the world of packaging recycling, and make-up sessions for a touch of glamour and creativity.

Awareness of proper waste separation was the central theme at both stands, where they presented the correct process for disposing of waste batteries, electronics and packaging, and the whole atmosphere created led to a huge turnout among festival lovers.

Our mission with young people

ERP Portugal and Novo Verde were able to reinforce their mission of raising environmental awareness and reaffirm their role as active partners in building a more sustainable future.

Ricardo Neto, president of ERP Portugal and Novo Verde, emphasised the importance of this presence:

“Being at Primavera Sound means being where the new generations meet, in an atmosphere of celebration and sharing, and this is a very important context for raising awareness.

We believe that sustainability doesn’t have to be a heavy topic, so the motto ’Recycling looks so good!’ is intended to convey just that: it’s a gesture that makes us feel good because we’re making a collective contribution to environmental sustainability.

Our mission is clear: to facilitate the correct disposal of waste and inspire everyone to do their bit, responsibly.”
