From Aveiro to the world
Planetiers World Gathering is an event that brings together a network of sustainability experts who are committed to making sustainable innovations more accessible.
As one of the sponsors of this year’s event, which ran from 27 to 29 October in Aveiro, Portugal, Landbell Group created different opportunities to connect and engage with the audience, spreading the word about circular economy solutions and strategies.
Across the three days of the event, the Group made the following contributions:
- A workshop led by Ana Magriço (Circular Economy Engineering Manager, Landbell Group) which outlined integrated worldwide solutions to help attendees reduce their businesses’ impact on the planet
- A presentation by Dora Caria (Chief Procurement Officer, Landbell Group) on a circular economy without boundaries
- A panel discussion about challenges and targets for extended producer responsibility (EPR), as well as innovative waste management solutions to improve circularity and the volumes and quality of secondary raw materials, and
- An innovation session on sustainable RFID tags with Barna Soma Rio, Co-Founder & CTO of PulpaTronics, the winner of this year’s Green Alley Award European startup competition
The panel discussion was moderated by Filipa Moita (Marketing Manager, Landbell Group) with contributions from:
- Carles Lorente Gras (Consumer Services Environmental Lead, HP)
- Markus Pache (Sales Director, Landbell Deutschland)
- Paul Doertenbach (Head of the Landbell Textile EPR Programme), and
- Ricardo Neto (President of ERP Portugal and Novo Verde)
Attendees could also drop off their unused small electronic devices and batteries for collection and recycling by ERP Portugal.
Partnerships, collaborative work and motivation are the essential ingredients to move forward… and the Planetiers event provided the perfect starting point for further developments and initiatives!
