TCO Certified recognises WEEE Technical and Management Specifications
The H2 Compliance Environmental team is proud to share that TCO Certified has officially recognised the latest version of its Technical and Management Specification for WEEE (TS.LB.001) as an internationally approved Qualified Electronic Recycling Standard.
This recognition acknowledges the high quality and added-value that our standard provides to electronics producers seeking to demonstrate the sustainability of their products.
TCO Certified is a globally recognised ecolabel based in Sweden that sets rigorous environmental and social responsibility criteria for IT products throughout their entire lifecycle, from manufacturing to end-of-life recycling.
What this means for customers
With this recognition, H2 Compliance can now extend sustainability recognition to customers in countries where e-waste supply chain operators may not hold certifications like CENELEC, WEEELABEX, R2 Recycling or e-Stewards.
By leveraging its TS.LB.001 specification, and the accompanying S3 Supply Chain Audit Protocol, H2 Compliance can now validate e-waste treatment operators in these regions, ensuring clients maintain compliance and eligibility for TCO certification, regardless of geography.
Also recognised by EPEAT
In addition to TCO Certified, the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) also recognises the S3 Supply Chain Audit Protocol.
Managed by the Global Electronics Council, EPEAT is a leading global ecolabel for electronics.
It helps organisations identify environmentally preferable products by evaluating them against comprehensive sustainability criteria.
Since 2016, H2 Compliance has supported many B2B customers in achieving EPEAT certification, helping them meet international standards for product sustainability.
