New partnerships and support for producers

Strengthening circular textile chain with key partnerships

ERP Netherlands has started the year with a strong commitment to sustainability by announcing that it has signed contracts with several textile collectors, sorting companies and recycling firms, including Erdotex, Wolkat and Second Life Textiles.

These partnerships mark an important step towards fulfilling extended producer responsibility (EPR) obligations and advancing a more circular textile chain in the Netherlands.

With a growing network and a market share of 17%, ERP Netherlands is actively working with industry organisations and municipalities to improve textile collection, enhance recycling processes, and promote the sale of second-hand clothing.

Beyond logistics, ERP is also focused on public awareness campaigns to encourage responsible textile disposal and reuse.

The textile sector faces significant challenges, such as declining demand for second-hand clothing in Eastern Europe and Africa, and increasing government regulations.

ERP Netherlands aims to address these issues through concrete actions, including:

  • Improving textile collection efficiency
  • Boosting the sale of second-hand clothing in the Netherlands
  • Enhancing the sorting and monitoring of exported textiles, and
  • Scaling up fibre-to-fibre recycling with better sorting and automation

By collaborating with key partners, ERP Netherlands is positioning itself as a leading player in the Dutch textile recycling landscape.

As part of Landbell Group, ERP is also leveraging its international expertise to build a scalable and high-quality circular textile system.

Launching Compliance Service 2025 package for textiles

Starting 1st January 2025, the extended producer responsibility (EPR) regulation for textiles became fully operational in the Netherlands. This marks the first year in which compliance targets must be met.

To help producers navigate the new EPR regulations, ERP Netherlands is launching the Compliance Service 2025 on its Click & Comply Shop.

This service is specifically tailored for producers placing up to 10,000 kilograms of textile products on the Dutch market annually.

This dedicated service package simplifies compliance with the Dutch EPR regulation, which mandates producers to register, report and ensure the collection and recycling of their textile products.

Key features of the Compliance Service 2025 include:

  • Comprehensive compliance management: Complete support with all EPR obligations, including registration, reporting and coordination of textile collection and recycling, and
  • Flexible and scalable solutions: Packages cover compliance for up to 1,000 kg of textiles each, with options to scale up to 10 packages for a maximum of 10,000 kg
