Job description
As part of the Landbell Group Global Legal Department, you will contribute to the management of legal, compliance and risk programs predominantly for H2 Compliance (focussing on our Irish and North American entities) but also for other Landbell Group subsidiary companies. This exciting new position will provide legal support to Operational Teams, regular contractual support and engagment with customers worldwide.
The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced professional, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously to promote risk management within the organisation, in particular with respect to legal and compliance matters.
Reporting to the Group Head of Legal, you will work directly with local teams and managers in order to implement measures and address legal quieries, contributing to both H2 Compliance and Landbell Group’s success and growth.
Your responsibilities
- Support the Irish and North American entities with contract drafting and negotiations
- Deliver legal advice to the Irish and North American entities as required, as well as other group entities where relevant
- Actively promote our risk management culture within H2 Compliance and the Landbell Group, including assisting with risk assessments, mitigations program design and implementation
- Actively participate in global legal programs including design, coordination, delivery, documentation and support to local entities
- Actively participate in our global compliance programs including design, coordination, delivery, documentation and support to local entities worldwide
- Design and deliver compliance and legal support documentation for the operational teams and provide awareness training
- Control the implementation of governance rules, risk management measures, legal and compliance instructions throughout the global organisation
- Coordinate with external legal counsel external lawyers, in Ireland and other locations, as necessary
- Travel to other office locations will be necessary from time to time
These tasks are not exhaustive and it is expected that your responsibilities will evolve over time, dependent on the needs of the business. We also encourage applicants who meet most of the responsibilities of the role to apply, even if experience in all aspects has not yet been attained.
Your qualifications
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a legal assistant
- You have a Law Degree recognised in Ireland
- You are experienced in all aspects of contract law including contract drafting, negotiation and management, ideally in an international environment
- You are experienced in legal risk management activities
- Your knowledge of environmental, and more specifically, circular economy law would be beneficial
- Experience in internal audit would be beneficial
- English (both verbal and written) is excellent and additional language skills are beneficial
- You have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, and can communicate with colleagues from all disciplines
- You are happy to work in a multicultural environment and to familiarise yourself with foreign legal systems,
- You are customer-focused, disciplined and like to work in multi-disciplinary teams
- You are enthusiastic, adaptive, quick to take on new challenges as well as having the ability to learn quickly
