Your responsibilities

  • Support the identification of new processes for the recycling of polymers, considering processes currently being piloted or researched or already existing processes with a focus on plastic packaging in Germany
  • Establish and maintain a network with plastics recyclers, compounders, and chemical companies
  • Researching new recycling technologies for post-consumer plastics
  • Monitoring the technical and financial aspects as well as the specifications expected by customers regarding the quality of recycled polymers
  • Analyzing new recycling technologies that consider the findings from polymer science and meet the needs of plastics manufacturers
  • Preparing and providing technological and scientific know-how for strategic decision-making

Your qualifications

  • You have successfully completed a degree in natural sciences or economics.
  • You have several years of professional experience in the field of recycling or compliance systems. Ideally, you have already gained experience in an international environment.
  • You have sound knowledge of materials science for the recycling of polymers and in the sorting and processing of collection mixtures from lightweight packaging.
  • You are familiar with Microsoft Office products, especially MS Excel. You are familiar with database systems.
  • You are characterized by a quick grasp and a good understanding of technical processes and legal issues.
  • You have an independent and structured way of working and excellent communication skills.
  • Your German and English skills are business fluent.
